It's used as a solvent/preservative and it provides added anti-microbial properties. SkinCeuticals uses Denatured Alcohol in a ton of their products, including the H.A. Intensifier, which is their most expensive Hyaluronic Acid serum. The added fragrance is there so you don't smell the alcohol.
I used La Roche Posay skincare products for a long time in korea but recently switched to Dr.CHROMCELL Cicathenol Calming Cleanser. I have sensitive & dry skin so i have to find specific skincare products that address those issues and their Cicathenol line was perfect for my skin plus they were cheaper.
Sometimes I mix a couple drops of rosehip seed oil into the Cicaplast balm in my palm and then apply that as a last step at night. I like it. My skin doesn’t like the Avene as much - I think it might be because Avene uses hydrogenated vegetable oil and beeswax and LRP uses shea butter and dimethicone.
La Roche Posay changed my life. I’ve never really struggled with acne, but I struggle with severely dry skin and often get red patches on my face. After cutting out everything and using the toleraine line, my skin is literally flawless. Highly recommend to anyone struggling with redness/dryness 😊

Products sit very nice on the skin, they absorb quickly and makes my skin matt. I noticed results in 2 weeks, I believe. Thermal spring water's ingredients are a simple avene aqua (their spring water) and nitrogen so it's basically a water with minerals. I find it really helpful because of the exercises. It helped me with redness and itching.
Though I don't like the uncertainty knowing they might suddenly get discontinued. LRP products that irritate my eyes: LRP Cicaplast Baume B5+ (new and old formulation) LRP Lipikar Baume AP+M. LRP Toleriane Ultra 8. LRP Toleriane Dermallergo Creme. Other products (not all) I've tried but do not prefer or discontinued: Bioderma Atoderm Baume.

I lived in Spain (although different from Austria) and found my local makeup stores had LRP Redermic R as an alternative. Maybe look up the restrictions in Austria about retailers selling retinol/adapalene based products. I know in Spain my local pharmacy also
